The Tickler Event
Tickler 2011
The Pan-European is a great bike for touring, and as its name implies, it loves the open roads of Europe. Whilst many Pan-Clan riders have experienced the delights of touring mainland Europe, many find the idea quite daunting.
For several years, the club have organised The Tickler event. The event consists of a long weekend somewhere in Europe. This is usually the near continent (France, Germany), but some years are a bit more ambitious than others and the event has been held in Switzerland.
The Tickler event is organised by experienced European riders who have been to the area, checked out the hotels, and ridden many of the roads. As well as the organiser, some of the experienced european riders tag along too - well it is a holiday, after all.
Everything is prepared for you: booking the ferry/EuroTunnel; hotel; routes to/from the hotel; and trips out once you are there. Leaving you to enjoy the ride and countryside.
This means that not only do you get the experience of riding 'over there', but in an enjoyable atmosphere, with plenty of good company throughout the day and into the evenings.
