	The Scottish Area was formed in 1996. Although we have members flung far and wide within Scotland, most members are in East/West/Central Belt. We have regular, usually monthly, group runs with a few more sprinkled in over the summer months. We also organise social events which range from 10-pin bowling, treasure hunt/BBQ, theatre trips/boat trips and anything else we can think of. We also organise overseas trips. In 2011 we went to California for 2 weeks and hired bikes to ride the Pacific Coast Highway (and a few other places too). We have been to Germany, Austria, Sweden and Ireland to mention a few. 2012 will see us heading for Austria for two weeks to go to the International Pan Gathering, and plans are beginning for a grand tour of the 'Old South' in the USA .
